Save on groceries in Halifax

Today while in the grocery store Neil and I found out about a new promotion that allows students shopping at Sobey's to save 10% on most items.

It seems that students attending Halifax area universities who also have an Air Miles card can get a coupon from the customer service desk that, when swiped at the check out, will cause your Air Miles card to trigger a discount of 10% on purchases made on Tuesdays from now until May 2009.

So far this seems to be a great deal, though not all that well promoted by the store. Maybe in the coming weeks we will see a bigger push to promote this special.

1) This is a wicked friggin deal! The best thing I've seen like this is 10% off on Wednesdays for students & seniors at Bulk Barn.

2) Google Chrome took like 15 seconds to load this. While I was waiting, as a test, I opened firefox and loaded it in about 1 second. I think it was just an initial thing now though, since the other post opened very quickly.

It is a pretty sweet deal, particularly as you don't need to do all that much to get it. What is even stranger is that they don't seem to be advertising it all that much.

Aside from the slow loading time, how is Google Chrome? As they don't have a Mac version I have not had a chance to use it yet.
