Da Bomb
According to an email that I received from Memorial University of Newfoundland earlier this afternoon, St. John's is supposed to be experiencing a "weather bomb."
Yeah, "weather bomb" indeed. There was a warning on the mun site: http://today.mun.ca/news.php?news_id=2704
Classes were not affected but the math mixer got canned. I'm sure other mixers and on-campus events did too.
This "storm" was not that big of a deal. My friend drove out to Logy Bay to pick someone up, then drove to our place near MUN and, a little later, drove us up to the mall for a movie. By 11:30 when we got out, the snow had stopped and while the roads weren't great, the visibility was fine.

To quote Monty Python: "I've had worse!"
I miss weather bombs.
